Wel 是荷蘭語的肯定語氣詞，與 niet（不）意思相反。英語用 do 來加強語氣（I do like it），荷蘭語則在句中插入 wel：Ik vind het wel goed（我其實覺得不錯）、Het is wel waar（其實是真的）。Wel 讓說話者能婉轉表達、反駁或肯定，聽起來不會太生硬。
