Would：過去反覆發生的行為
比「used to」更文學、更帶懷舊感的說法，用來表達反覆發生的過去行為，但只能用在動作上，不能用在狀態上。「Every summer we would drive to the coast.」「My grandfather would tell the same stories every Christmas.」不能用來描述過去的狀態（「I would be tall」是錯的，要用「I used to be tall」）。
